ChessLines ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Progress data — lessons completed and wrong moves recorded, stored via iCloud Key-Value Storage tied to your Apple ID.
• Purchase data — subscription status managed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details.
• No account required — we do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

3. How We Use Your Data

Progress data is used solely to track your learning progress across devices via iCloud. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics platforms, or any third-party services.

4. Third-Party Services

ChessLines uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases and iCloud for data sync. Both are governed by Apple's own privacy policy at apple.com/privacy.

5. Data Retention

Your progress data lives in your iCloud account and is controlled by you. You can delete it at any time by removing ChessLines from your iCloud storage in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

6. Children's Privacy

ChessLines is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
